Job Summary
The Principal of Allied Health Sciences College is responsible for providing leadership to all the programs in allied health science disciplines and serving as
the administrator responsible for providing leadership, supervision, guidance and direction for instructional programs, courses, services, faculty and staff;
Duties & Responsibilities
Within the scope of college policies and procedures, this position;
Provides leadership and administrative oversight for faculty, staff, and programs in the areas of workforce and career education in the disciplines of Allied Health;
Evaluates and ensures quality in all aspects of instructional programs and staff;
Engages faculty and staff participation in support of educational priorities, e.g. program development, program review, curriculum and articulation
initiatives, assessment of student learning outcomes and learning college initiatives;
Prepares program needs, analyses designed to identify unmet student needs and to recommend new initiatives designed to prepare students as lifelong learners;
Provides day-to-day oversight of education culture to ensure a student-centered, learner-centered environment at all levels;
Serves as spokesperson for issues pertaining to Allied Health;
Resolves student issues and complaints in a timely manner;
Communicates and interprets policies and procedures;
Serves as a liaison between the university, faculty, staff & management;
Plans, develops, implements and evaluates educational programs and services to achieve the goals of a learning college;
Develops and oversees instructional budgets, class schedules, classroom and facilities utilization and coordinates programs and services with other college personnel;
Serves on various college committees, advisory boards, and task forces and represents the college on local, regional, and state activities as needed;
Performs related duties as assigned
